Vegetable Soup

Very cheap and makes a lot. Ok, it's not a side of steak but it's a better dinner than bread & butter!

Method

Dice up potatoes into cm sized chunks. Put large pot on to medium heat, slosh some oil in the bottom. Put all the potato chunkettes in and stir em round the pan. Make sure they don't stick (trust me!) This helps sorta seal the veges or something.

Then do the same for the pumpkin. Ditto far carrots.

Once things have been sizzling add the salt, chicken stock, tomato paste and then pour in a jug of hot water. Then stir some more.

Once you're sure things won't blow up put a lid on the pot and make some money for an hour or two. Serve when ready.
