Stir Fry
A quick & easy one pot + one pan meal that even tastes good.
Ingredients
- Pork (snitchel can be good) or Chicken
- Rice (1/4 cup per person)
- Baby corn
- Sauce (cantong is good)
- Sunflower seeds
Method
Heat up frying pan really hot. Put in some sunflower seeds, then add olive oil. Put rice on to cook just before putting finely chopped meat into
frying pan.
Stir rice after a few mins to stop it lumping together. Keep stirring meat. Once almost cooked put in corn & then add sauce slightly later.
Turn down when sauce starts bubbling. Ditto for rice. Rice takes about 8 mins too cook supposedly.
Keep cooking till rice is done (test by biting, shouldn't be crunchy!)
When all done serve rice, then add meat/sauce, then finally top with something nice looking.
Variations
- Different meat
- Use onions/garlic instead of sunflower seeds
- Different kinds of sauces
- Try using pizza sauce & cheese
- Swap rice for pasta
